Stubhub’s top selling event for for July 1, 2009 is Major League Baseball’s annual All-Star Game scheduled for July 14th at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. Second on the list is Ultimate Fighting Championship’s 100 main event scheduled for July 11. Six baseball games at the New Yankees Stadium are amongst Stubhub’s top 10 event tickets selling in the US snd Canada. The list includes three Yankees Red Sox games and the Old Timer’s day celebration vs the Detroit Tigers.

Britney Spears is bringing her hugely successful world Circus concert tour back to the US. Britney, currently on the European segment of her tour, plans to play 20 cities on the second US leg of her tour. Spears began her comeback tour last December to rave reviews and sold out venues. Tickets for Britney Spears concerts will go on presale beginning June 15th and onsale to the general public beginning June 19th.

Miley Cyrus, better know as Hannah Montana, has announced a special fall 2009 concert tour sponsored by Walmart. Miley is also using Ticketmaster’s revolutionary new ticketless entry on the new tour. To elimiate the number of tickets scalpers will get, Ticketmaster is requiring all ticket purchasers to show up on the date of the concert with a government identification and the actual credit card used to purchase the tickets. Ticket scalpers will probably find a way around the system, but if it works, it’ll be awesome. Miley is also preparing a special set and many different outfits. Miley’s previous tour the Hannah Montana Best of Both Worlds tour sold-out in record time and created a firestorm in the media over ticket scalping.

Summer Concert Tickets for 2009

There are plenty of hot concert tours this summer.

This year’s concert season may be one for the record books.

The Jonas Brothers, Taylor Swift, Phish, Kenny Chesney, AC/DC, Green Day, Nickelback, Kings of Leon, Aerosmith, NIN, No Doubt, Dave Matthews Band, Tool, American Idols, Coldplay, Pink, Metallica, and Bob Dylan and many many other great bands are hitting the road this summer.

Stubhub routinely publishes the top ticket sellers in the US, Canada and metro areas. As of May 19th the New York Yankees, in the midst of a winning streak, take up seven of the top ten tickets in the New York City area.
